Here you see Ansett Australia's Boeing 747 Model landing during the last day of operation of Kai Tak. Anyone that has flown in to Kai Tak would remember the turn on landing and looking at people's washing as you landed! Would have been great for watching aircraft models as the apartments were so close to the arriving aircraft. The Boeing 747 Model had Sydney 2000 logo up the side and the airline collapsed nearly to the day, 1 year after the Sydney Games. Ansett Australia was headquartered in Melbourne.
